Suzuki Intruder 1500LC Wins Best in Class in Sturgis
Team Metric Thunder took one of the hardest motorycles to customize and bult this lovely red sled. Follow along with the Phase 1 build that lead to a Trophy at Sturgis.
The Metric Thunder Bike 1 (T1) at the completion of Phase 1 design. Using Hard Krome Straights exhaust system.
Painting: The Thunder Bike skins are prepped and pinstriping begins.
Pinstriping nears completion.
The skins are completed and are returned to the shop.
Before skins are mounted on T1, fatty handlebars are bolted on and wiring completed.
Chrome bits added to the frontend.
Tombstone tail light is mounted to the rear fender and wiring is attached.
T1 completed and ready for Sturgis. Thunder Bike 1 is parked next to Metric Thunder’s good friend and VTX1800R owner, Dave Massaro.
The Metric Thunder Bike 1 wins “Best in Show” trophy from RoadBike Magazine at their Metric Rally in Sturgis 2004.
