Metric Thunder is a 2 Time Winner in Palm Springs!
Metric Thunder and McIntyre take home trophies during American Heat in Palm Springs
Metric Thunder Bob and Bill McIntyre, (a good friend of Metric Thunder). hit the road for the American Heat bike rally in Palm Springs last week. Great weather, hot bikes, babes and great music were on tap in the desert for the three day event.
Bob rode T-Bike II while Bill was cruising on his fully dressed VTX1800RS. They decided to take the longest and twistiest road to the desert from the Metric Thunder shop in Orange, CA. Interstate 74 was just what the doctor ordered! Hundreds of curves, 160 miles of blacktop and elevation changes of over 5,000 feet really made for a great ride.
The turnout in Palm Springs was impressive with over 5,000 bikes cruising the desert resort community. Stunt shows, live music, vendors and a bike contest were among the highlights of the rally. Speaking of a bike contest…Bill entered the VTX in the stock import catagory and Bob placed the Vulcan 2000 in the custom import class. Both bikes took home some great looking hardware in their respective catagories.
All in all, not a bad weekend!!!
Sharp looking bagger!
Sweet baby blue chopper…
Bill’s winning VTX1800RS was clearly a “Babe Magnet”
