What does a guy who works all week at one of the largest motorcycle seat makers world do on the weekend? He rides…duh!
Tom owns a couple of bikes, the one in this photo is probable the fastest of the bunch, an Aprilia Tuomo 1000R. For you gearheads out there, here’s some techinical data on the engine:
V60 Magnesium. Longitudinal 60° V twin, four stroke. Liquid cooling with three-way pressurised circuit. Double overhead cams, mixed gear/chain timing drive, four valves per cylinder. Patented AVDC anti-vibration double countershaft.
And for those of you wondering what Tuomo means, it’s “thunder” in Italian! I guess we should have said, “Tom Monroe rides with Metric Tuomo.”
