MotoCzysz C1 Highlight

An American Builder Builds a Racer and it’s an amazing piece, the MotoCzysz C1! Michael Czysz has a running prototype that’s getting coverage in the motorcycle press and it deserves a lot of attention.
An inline 4, mounted longitudinally usually has a lot of torque transferred to the bike, so Czysz split the four into a pair of twins then reversed the front pair so it counter-rotates and offset them for a 15 degree V configuration to improve handling.
More off the page design ideas - tuned-flex single sided forks to reduce chatter and provide consistent fork action, a quick access under the engine transmission, a long swingarm with constant chain tension… it just goes on and on.
The American Builder Goal - To race MotoGP.

If you love bikes, have US$100,000 lying around, and want an American-built MotoGP replica, MotoCzysz has you covered. The MotoCzysz 990 C1 racer replicas, only 50 of which are being built, are probably meant for rich fanatics.
The non-street legal replica C1 shares a lot of bits with the factory race bike, including its carbonfibre chassis, front and rear suspension, and twin-crank, triple overhead cam, 990cc four-cylinder engine. With more than 200bhp on tap, the C1 replica should offer acceleration and top speeds (and of course, handling…) far beyond what a current Suzuki Hayabusa or a Kawasaki ZZR1400 can.
