Sir Richard Branson - Mr. Two Wheels - As well known for his flamboyance as he is for his entrepreneurial spirit, Branson is constantly pushing boundaries, and promoting himself. Branson is the genius behind the sprawling Virgin brand, which includes everything from mobile phones to airplanes to… LimoBikes.
It’s a passenger motorbike that is based in London. Celebrities use it, business people use it, in fact people from all walks of life use it, whether it be to get to the airport quickly regardless of how bad the traffic is or to glide from one end of London to the other.
The minimum charge is $50 and a trip from the center of London to Heathrow Airport will drain the wallet $120.
Passangers are provided with everything they need including Arai helmet, protective clothing, gloves and a communication link via Autocom to talk with the driver. Does Sir Richard Branson us the service… You bet he does.
I always use the Limobikes when I am hurrying between meetings, they are a very practical way to travel in London… it makes up for time I have lost during the day!

Yamaha FJR1300’s
Virgin LimoBikes use Yamaha FJR1300’s (with ABS) which have been fitted with a rear seat back to give passengers total confidence while on the move. They have been fitted with a phone so passengers can make and receive phone calls. The bikes are serviced and maintained to the highest degree.
They are also fitted with a rear seat rack to carry luggage; normally we recommend that we can carry a small to medium sized suitcase. The Virgin LimoBike website is located here.
Riders
All Virgin LimoBike riders are IAM qualified (Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists) and have at least 10 years experience of riding through London’s traffic. They have been described as “having the savvy of a courier combined with the courtesy of a chauffeur”. All have a very good knowledge of London and its environs and will tailor their riding to each individual passenger’s experience or requirements during the trip.
It’s been reported that screaming into the Autocom devise meets with predictable results.
